Carbon Film Quote is the world’s first TV commercial budget estimator with an integrated carbon calculator. It helps BBDO Proximity’s production partners identify and evaluate low-emission and environmentally friendly production options when looking at initial cost estimates.
The aim of the Carbon Film Quote initiative is to significantly reduce the CO2 emissions generated during the production of advertising films. Globally, the CO2 emissions from the 11,000 advertising films produced each year amount to a total of 200,000 tons.
Germany’s largest advertising agency, BBDO Germany, wants to change this. In collaboration with international scientists and consultants, BBDO Germany has developed software that can be used to calculate the CO2 emissions for each part of a TV commercial production and plan CO2-efficient production alternatives.
