In 2023 we celebrated the completion of the ‘Green Culture Index Baden-Württemberg’ (GCI) project at the Wizemann in Stuttgart. Thema1 supported twelve music venues in Baden-Württemberg in creating carbon footprints for their operations with the involvement of the Aktionsnetzwerk Nachhaltigkeit in Kultur und Medien (Action Network Sustainability in Culture and Media). The project also taught the basics of climate accounting in the cultural sector.

The project is a collaboration between Initiative Musik and Thema1, with the participation of Aktionsnetzwerk Nachhaltigkeit (Action Network Sustainability) and other regional partner organizations: Clubkultur Baden-Württemberg, Pop-Büro Region Stuttgart, Popakademie, and the Ifeu Institute.
