Training – Transformation Managers in Sustainable Culture

In 2021 the Aktionsnetzwerk Nachhaltigkeit in Kultur und Medien (Action Network Sustainability in Culture and Media), together with its partners, has created a training program to support motivated actors in taking on and fulfilling a transformative role in the field of culture and sustainability. The aim of the training course for Transformation Managers in Sustainable Culture is to impart knowledge on how cultural venues and media productions can take the path to greater sustainability. In addition to imparting knowledge, the course also serves to network stakeholders with each other.

Graduates are thus enabled to use their knowledge as transformation managers and sustainability ambassadors to initiate, implement and support processes and projects in institutions that serve as role models for the industry and beyond for a climate-friendly society.

Graduates acquire the following skills and knowledge: Mediation skills in transformation processes, Support for climate protection projects in culture and media, Knowledge of climate impact adaptation in culture and media, Identification of levers of operational ecology, Climate accounting – basics, perspectives and limits, Strategic environmental management systems, Energy efficiency in the cultural sector, Creation of holistic sustainability concepts, Knowledge of good practice examples and Sustainability communication.

Who is the course for? Motivated cultural professionals (e.g. management level, sustainability managers of cultural institutions / members of climate working groups, or from any other department), interested people from the creative industries, employees of universities with degree programs for the cultural and media sector, energy consultants, industrial engineers and environmental engineers with an affinity for culture and media.
